Birth Shadowing & Birth Experience
One of the best ways to learn is by seeing doula work in action.
When appropriate and with my client's consent, mentorship may include shadowing me at births. This allows you to observe professional doula support, communication with the birth team, comfort measures, client advocacy, and the many unexpected moments that can happen during labor.
If you're working toward doula certification, I can also help you develop a plan for completing your required birth experiences and, when opportunities are available, help you secure birth attendance.

Oregon THW & Medicaid Doula Mentorship
Interested in becoming an Oregon THW Doula or working as a Medicaid doula?
I provide one-on-one guidance through the process of becoming an Oregon Traditional Health Worker (THW) Doula, including navigating requirements, documentation, enrollment, and the practical side of working with Medicaid.
I also offer Medicaid doula mentorship for doulas throughout the United States. I can help you understand your state's requirements, research the enrollment process, and develop a plan for becoming a Medicaid-participating doula.
Because requirements vary by state and can change, mentorship does not guarantee certification, enrollment, contracting, or reimbursement.

Mentorship Certificates
Throughout your mentorship, I provide personalized certificates reflecting your time, experiences, and milestones with me. Depending on your mentorship, these may recognize mentorship completion, birth shadowing, professional development, or other goals we establish together.
These certificates document your mentorship experience and are not a substitute for certification through a professional doula organization or government program.
