Resources for Milk Donors in Oregon

Are you thinking about becoming a milk donor and don't know where to start? I know the process can seem overwhelming, but it so worth it to be able to help NICU babies and families. I would love to help you achieve you goal of becoming a milk donor and share some resources available to milk donors!

Become a Milk Donor
Northwest Mothers Milk Bank - NWMMB

To become a milk donor at Northwest Mothers Milk Bank, click the link Donate Milk to find out more and schedule a 20 minute call with a representative from the milk bank to see if you meet the criteria to become a donor. If you meet the basic criteria, they will schedule a follow up call and walk you through the process to become a donor. This includes getting a blood draw (which the milk bank will pay for) and signing a release to share your medical records with the milk bank. There is a minimum donation requirement of 100 ounces for your first donation, but after that you can donate any amount you like. Once you're approved you will be able to donate milk at any of their designated milk drops. Check out their Milk Drop Locations | NWMMB to see if there is one near you!

Donating Milk as a Loss Mama
​Northwest Mothers Milk Bank - NWMMB

I am so sorry for your loss sweet mama, and I am here to hold you and your heaven baby/heaven babies in my heart. If you are a loss mama and you are lactating after a miscarriage, stillbirth, pregnancy or infant loss, Northwest Mothers Milk Bank has a special program called Donate After A Loss . The minimum donation requirement is waived for loss mamas, and you are able to donate any amount you would like to share. This can be a beautiful way to honor the memory of your heaven baby/babies, and such a gift for NICU babies who will benefit from your precious gift of your milk. Every drop is filled with the love for your sweet little one.
